Deep Tissue/Trigger Point Massage

Deep tissue and trigger point massage are powerful techniques for addressing chronic muscle tension and pain.

Deep tissue massage focuses on the muscles deep beneath the surface, using direct pressure and friction movements against the muscle grain to alleviate deep-seated tension.

In contrast, trigger point therapy targets specific areas in the body that are tender to touch but can cause pain elsewhere, known as referred pain. These trigger points, when treated, can release persistent aches in the muscles.

By combining deep tissue and trigger point techniques, therapists can enhance range of motion and relieve painful muscles effectively. If left untreated, persistent trigger points can lead to myofascial pain syndrome, a condition affecting broader muscle groups and myofascia, the connective tissue surrounding muscles.

This comprehensive approach is crucial for managing deep muscle discomfort and improving overall muscle health.
